Discussion on Taxes for Social Clubs

With the goal of strengthening tax knowledge and developing common strategies among social clubs in the country, the Interclub Association organized a specialized discussion on tax matters at the Costa Rica Tennis Club. The event brought together representatives from various clubs, along with three specialists from the renowned law firm Facio & Cañas, who offered technical guidance on tax matters.
Objective of the discussion
The purpose of the activity was to identify common tax issues faced by social clubs, establish shared guidelines to prevent legal contingencies, and take advantage of opportunities within the current regulatory framework. The event also promoted the development of joint policies that allow for more robust and transparent management in compliance with tax obligations.
Participation and development
The forum enjoyed excellent participation and exchange among attendees. The experts' presentations were complemented by open dialogue spaces, where club representatives could raise questions, share experiences, and generate proposals for inter-institutional collaboration.
Furthermore, the session was moderated by Mauricio Rodríguez and Gerardo Porras, whose work was recognized for its clarity and ability to energize the conversation between technicians and participants.
