Costa Rica Country Club Members Make History with the National Tennis Team

Costa Rica's Women's National Tennis Team claimed the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup Americas Group III title, earning promotion to the Americas Group II after an outstanding performance at the tournament held at the Ciudad Merliot Sports Complex in El Salvador.
The Costa Rican team completed an undefeated week of competition and secured the championship by defeating Barbados in a hard-fought final, marking one of the most significant achievements for Costa Rican women's tennis in recent years.

For the Costa Rica Country Club, the victory carries special meaning, as Andrea Brenes, captain of the national team, along with players Lucía Gallegos and Valentina Obregón, are Club members and developed their skills through the Club's Tennis Academy.
Their outstanding performance reflects the Country Club's ongoing commitment to developing athletes capable of representing Costa Rica at the highest international level.
